Job summary

Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking an Early Education Center Director for Hillsborough YMCA to oversee infants through pre-kindergarten programs, with emphasis on enrollment growth and high-quality programming. You will supervise education staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree related to children or business, plus 2–3 years of related experience and completion of required certifications within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field related to children or business.
• Two to Three years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of an early education program.
• Completion of Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens within 30 days of hire.
• Working knowledge of NJ Department of Children and Families licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages, directs and coordinates the early education program for Hillsborough YMCA. Ensures high quality programs and expands program within the community according to plans.
• Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs teachers and volunteers; evaluates staff performance and motivates staff.
• Develops and controls budgets; ensures program operates within budget and that fees are collected; supports healthy eating initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations; safety procedures present in program areas.
• Maintains records and program statistics; monitors participation and effectiveness; prepares reports.
