Job summary

discovery-point-careers is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering activities for children in a licensed classroom. The role focuses on promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth while maintaining a safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be prepared to obtain CPR and Fire Safety training as required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum.
• Ability to be trained in CPR and Fire Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up and maintaining a safe, fun, age-appropriate learning environment.
• Prepares classroom for daily activities and assists in cleanup.
• Treats children with dignity and respect and guides them positively.
• Supervises children as required by regulations and follows lesson plans.
