Job summary

Discovery Point is seeking a Childcare Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher by planning lessons and guiding children through activities inline with the licensed curriculum. You will help provide a nurturing classroom atmosphere and monitor safety and health standards.

You will also need to meet state licensing requirements and participate in CPR/Fire Safety trainings as required. This role offers opportunities for growth within a caring, community-focused early education setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
• Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Ability to obtain training in CPR/Fire Safety and other training required.
• Must be able to meet all state requirements for Assistant Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with planning lessons and instructing children in activities according to the approved child care curriculum.
