Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children across centers. You will follow menus developed by our in-house nutritionist to ensure kids have the fuel to learn and grow.

Join a team that values safety, documentation, and collaboration with center staff to support enrollment and program quality. Prior cooking and childcare experience are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Familiarity with food storage, allergy considerations, and cross-contamination prevention.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare quantities for center population.
• Basic math for measuring and portions.
• Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking experience; food ordering desirable.
• Two or more years working with children are highly desirable.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication as requested.
• Complete timely documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Assist with other daily center duties as needed.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
