Job summary

Halifax Community College seeks a College Liaison to bridge HALIFAX and Northampton County College, strengthening student performance and expanding postsecondary options. The role builds non-credit programs, coordinates college course-taking for high school students, and teaches two ACA 122 courses annually.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain partnerships, conduct parent outreach, and develop policies supporting student success, all while managing schedules and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Education, English, or related field.
• Or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in a related program.
• Four years of relevant experience in education or partnerships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate college course-taking for high school students including registration and grading timetables.
• Develop and implement college partnership activities and curriculum enhancements.
• Plan biannual orientation programs for students and parents.
• Conduct parent outreach on college and career pathways and assist with applications.
• Maintain student files and ensure timely communication with families and school staff.
• Teach two ACA 122 College Transfer Success courses per year.
