Job summary

Bright Horizons in Indianapolis, IN seeks a full-time Teacher to support infants and other age groups within the center. Shifts are M-F 9:00am - 6:00pm, with responsibilities including hands-on activity planning, parent communication, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.

Credentials include a high school diploma or GED; state and company background checks; college coursework in early education or a related degree preferred; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Background checks completed as required by state and company.
• College coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience in child care/preschool preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide coverage in any classroom or age group as needed at the center or nearby locations.
