Job summary

Nurtured Growth Childcare Center is seeking a substitute teacher to work with children aged 0-5 in Osage Beach, MO. Hours vary weekly, with morning call-ins similar to school substitutes. The role offers growth to full-time as staffing allows, and subs always work with a lead teacher.

Job description

As of 10/15/26 we are looking for a substitute teacher who will work with kids 0-5 This sub's hours would fluctuate weekly depending on needs of staffing. We are looking for a sub who we can call in the mornings similar to a sub at a school building or schedule out in advance as our teachers take PTO. This position has the opportunity to grow to full time if we have a teacher leave. Our subs always work with a lead teacher in a classroom.

Subbing Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–5:30 PM - varies by week

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Applicants with higher education in an ECE field of study are paid for their experience and education
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Before employment begins:

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Complete safe sleep training before working

Physical Requirements:

• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.

About Us

Nurtured Growth Childcare Center is a newer center that opening July 2025. We will provide a play-based program with focus on health and well‑being of children through physical movement, nutrition, and time spent outdoors as much as possible. We are a Christian center open to families in the Osage Beach area, both private pay and subsidy.
