The Teacher creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment focused on belonging, independence, and well-being. Educators build positive relationships with children by recognizing diverse strengths, cultures, and needs, using observation and documentation to guide learning and school readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with Wisconsin Registry or eligible.
• Lead Educators must meet DCF/NAEYC education requirements.
• Certifications: Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED, Abusive Head Trauma Prevention, Mandated Reporter Training, and other DCF/NAEYC/Encompass trainings.
• Prior experience in an early childhood education setting required.
• Experience with HighScope or Conscious Discipline preferred.
• Experience in a NAEYC-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise children and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize classroom technology and software to support communication, documentation, assessment, and program requirements.
• Demonstrate organizational skills and manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborate as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Meet DCF teacher-to-child ratio requirements.
• Complete required background checks and regulatory trainings.
• Align classroom practices with HighScope, COR Advantage, DCF, NAEYC, YoungStar requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
