Job summary

Coast Guard Exchange (USCGCSC) in Buzzards Bay, MA is seeking two Child Care Teachers to join the Child Development Center. The positions require a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, ability to obtain Tier 1 background clearance, and the physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, supervise children, ensure safety and health practices, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Two year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field, including CDA where applicable.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 45 pounds; indoor/outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that program plans and activities meet the needs of individual children and youth.
• Lead, demonstrate and facilitate planned and spontaneous activities.
• Maintain safe, healthy, and nutritious practices and prepare child-friendly environments.

Education

Two year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field
