Job summary

Bright Horizons in Evanston, IL is seeking dedicated teachers to join our early education centers. Full-time and part-time positions are available for infants, where you will deliver hands-on activities and partner with families to support each child's growth.

You will work in-person at our Evanston center, create engaging learning experiences, follow safety guidelines, and participate in ongoing professional development including tuition-free CDA or college degree options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; background checks completed as per state and company policy.
• College coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate/bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred.
• 1 year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required.
• IL Teacher Qualified requirements: 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) with relevant coursework; or 1 year of child development experience with 30 semester hours; or completion of CDA credential.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
