Job summary

Primrose School of West Allen is looking for an enthusiastic Lead Teacher to foster curiosity and compassion in young learners. You will supervise daily activities, maintain a safe classroom, and support a caring, structured learning environment based on the Balanced Learning curriculum.

You will collaborate with a co-teacher, build relationships with children and families, and participate in ongoing training and development within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Along with Lead Teacher, supervise and facilitate the daily class activities of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose school of West Allen and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program is HIGHLY preferred
• Embrace the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
• Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child.
• Help children explore the world, improve their motor skills and grow their vocabulary.
• Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
• Classrooms come fully stocked with everything you need, and our supportive Leadership Team works every day to provide support and nourish team performance.
