Job summary

Tri-Valley Career Center is seeking a Pre-School Teacher to develop and deliver interactive learning programs for a preschool class. You will ensure curricula meet emotional, cognitive, physical, and social needs, and align with licensing requirements.

The role involves producing weekly lesson plans, communicating with parents, supervising children in before/after school care, and collaborating with the Director to maintain schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• AA degree or in-progress AA Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development required.
• 3–5 years pre-school teaching experience if no AA Degree, plus core ECE units.
• Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Professional demeanor, team player, flexible with schedules.
• Complete mandatory trainings (Mandated Reporter, Harassment Prevention, Food Handling, CPR/First Aid).
• Background check and health screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reports on time per assigned schedule.
• Develops and implements curriculum meeting emotional, cognitive, physical, and social needs of preschool students.
• Review and utilize student medical/development histories.
• Posts weekly curriculum plans and communicates with parents.
• Supervises children during care programs and meal times.
• Maintains safety and enforces behavior appropriately.
• Communicates with parents through emails/phone and conducts conferences.
• Maintains required license ratios and completes training.
