Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to enroll in a CDA credential program within 18 months of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
• Willingness to support program operations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Help establish a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist Co-Teachers with lesson planning, classroom strategies, documentation, and activities.
• Support children's development across physical, intellectual, social, and emotional domains.
• Promote curriculum goals including educational, social, and emotional learning objectives.
• Incorporate nutrition, health, and self-care practices into daily routines.
• Build positive relationships with children and families to encourage engagement.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure readiness for daily activities under supervision.
• Maintain ongoing communication with staff, supervisors, parents, and service providers.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
• Participate in professional development activities and trainings.
• Report suspected child abuse or neglect as required.
