Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a paraeducator to support teachers in the classroom at Myers/Ganoung Elementary School, near 22nd St & Craycroft. This 0.75 FTE position covers about six hours per day, following a nine-month school calendar.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, AZ Dept. of Education-approved academic assessment test or an associate’s degree or two years of college credits, plus one year of experience with youth and English proficiency.

SUMMARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
  OR
  Associate’s (or higher) degree
  OR
  Two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post-high school general education studies
• One year of experience working with youth
• Speak, read, and write in English

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• Copy of diploma, transcript or test results must be submitted at time of hire.
• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
