Job summary

ECE Subhub seeks Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to support classrooms serving children aged 0 to 5. We tailor weekday schedules to your availability, offering consistent work on days you choose.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children birth through age 5.
  • Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related area may be preferred.

Job description

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

ECE Subhub is hiring Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to support classrooms serving children ages 0 to 5. We work with your availability to build a weekday schedule.

What you will do

You will work alongside early childhood teams to help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with classroom activities and daily routines
  • Helping implement lesson plans
  • Supervising children to keep them safe
  • Building positive relationships with children and staff
  • Maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with children from birth through age 5
  • Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, or Elementary Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Family or Youth Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement, Human Services, or Child Development
  • Current CDA credential

Preferred: CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification. If you are not currently certified, we will provide certification.

Job Details
  • Job Type: Part-time to full-time
  • Pay: $15 to $22 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm
  • Minimum availability: At least two weekdays per week
