In Ferguson-Florissant, we know that language is the foundation of every other academic skill. We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Early Childhood team. You aren't just a clinician; you are a "Language Architect" who ensures our 3-to-5-year-old scholars have the communicative tools they need to transition successfully into Kindergarten.
As part of the FFSD "New Chapter," you will work within our general education early childhood centers to provide screenings, early intervention, and enrichment. If you are passionate about the "science of talk" and want to be the reason a child finds their voice early, your next movement starts here.
As an Early Childhood Speech-Language Pathologist, you will lead the district’s efforts in identifying and supporting communication needs in our youngest learners. You will conduct screenings, provide targeted interventions, and collaborate with Pre‑K teachers to create "language-rich" classrooms. Your goal is to provide the early support that prevents future learning gaps, ensuring every child can express their needs, thoughts, and dreams clearly.
Early Identification: Lead the screening process for incoming Pre‑K scholars to identify potential speech and language delays early.
Enrich the Environment: Partner with Lead Teachers to embed "tier‑one" language strategies into daily classroom routines, centers, and storytimes.
Targeted Intervention: Provide high‑quality individual and small‑group support for students requiring specialized communication help.
Collaborate & Consult: Act as the building expert for teachers and staff on speech sounds, fluency, and oral language development.
Partner with Families: Provide parents with the "at‑home" tools and confidence they need to support their child’s emerging communication skills.
We don't just hire clinicians; we invest in communication leaders.
The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a community‑centered district that treats Special Education as a pillar of excellence. Our ECSE programs are hubs of innovation where we provide an environment that honors every child’s unique path. Ready to help our youngest scholars find their voice? Join our fantastic team today!
