This full-time, unaffiliated position works 220 days from July 1st to June 30th. General hours are 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday; however the position requires flexibility to work some evenings, Saturdays, and summer hours. Immediate supervisor is the Pearson Early Learning Center Administrator. This position will be the appointed administrator in the absence of the building administrator.
Job Summary:The Early Childhood Specialist is a leadership position that manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of Early Childhood Family Education programs, services, and activities. Specific program area responsibilities include: Early Childhood Family Education, Family Literacy, Pathway Scholarships, Parent Aware, Grants, Parent Advisory Council, and works collaboratively with leadership to support School Readiness/VPK, Outreach, Early Childhood Screening, and Early Childhood Special Education.

Qualifications:- MN teaching license in Early Childhood and/or Parent Education or equivalent preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Three or more years of administrative or leadership experience in early childhood family education.
- Five or more years of teaching experience in early childhood or parent education.
- Requires experience working with families, early childhood learning programs, and preschool-aged children.
Working Conditions:The majority of work is performed in normal office and classroom settings but may also involve traveling to homes and other places in the community. The position includes support of students and staff in classrooms and so requires the ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, move from sitting to standing quickly, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. There may be extended periods of standing when facilitating or leading activities.
