Job Description

As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at The Menta Education Group, you will have the opportunity to educate a small classroom of students in a self-contained setting. Our social-emotional learning environments combine inquiry-based academics with a P.B.I.S. structure.

Responsibilities

• Teach all subjects in a classroom setting
• Provide a differentiated learning environment
• Collaborate with staff, including curriculum and clinical teams, to support student success
• Gain support from on-campus staff such as teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Personalize learning experiences for students
• Maintain a social-emotional learning environment
• Manage a classroom of approximately 10 students with paraprofessional support

Qualifications

• IL PEL (Professional Educator's License) with LBS1 Certification in Early Childhood Education or relevant out-of-state certification
• Flexibility to teach multiple grade levels as student needs change
• Ability to teach across all basic instructional areas
• Experience working with youth with emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges
• Flexibility, teamwork skills, and creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
