Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field from an accredited institution with minimum 24 hours of ECE coursework.
• Illinois Gateways to Opportunity ECE Level 5 Credential required. Director Level 1 Credential required or must obtain within 12 months of employment.
• Food Sanitation Certification preferred.
• At least two years of early childhood teaching experience; Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintains knowledge of Center’s operation and goals and its relation to the region and organization.
• Assumes operation of the program when Site Manager is absent.
• Supervises and evaluates staff, including hiring, training, timecards, appraisals, and performance plans.
• Provides coaching and support to teaching staff and models effective teaching and behavior management.
• Identifies professional development needs and supports staff growth.
• Assists teachers with lesson plans, observations, and understanding child outcomes data.
• Trains and evaluates student interns as assigned.
