Job summary

United Way Miami is hiring a Resource Teacher I to support practitioners, children, and families enrolled in the center. You will help implement Head Start/early Head Start standards and assist the Center Director with daily operations.

Responsibilities include classroom support, handling incidents, updating trainings and events, and maintaining a safe, compliant learning environment for children. Experience in early childhood education and an Associate degree are required, with bilingual skills

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Two or more years of experience in an early childhood education setting
• Florida 45-hour Child Care Training completed within 90 days if not already obtained
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director in ensuring smooth daily operation of the center
• Serve as liaison between Center Director and teachers
• Open and close the center and inform on incidents pertaining to daily operations
• Support classroom staff with lesson plans, observations and screenings
• Ensure licensing, health, and safety guidelines are followed in partnership with the Director
