Job summary

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in the Early Childhood program for children ages 0–5. This full-time role involves conducting home visits and offering nursing services in accordance with federal and state guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, along with a valid driver's license and ideally experience with income qualifying families. Qualifications

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the Early Childhood program serving enrolled children ages 0–5. Conduct home visits and provide Head Start nursing services, providing specialized assistance to the families and/or departments to fulfill program objectives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Comply with federal, state, and agency policies and procedures
  2. Knowledge of current EHS Health curriculum and Head Start Health requirement and utilize them for client teaching.
  3. Provide quality nursing services that comply with federal and state guidelines
  4. Ability to prepare for home visits by locating appropriate client information.
  5. Complete annual training and continuing education requirements.
  6. Participate in all required meetings and trainings
  7. Adhere to all CNCAP policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. Prior employment or volunteer experience working directly with income qualifying families preferred.
