Job summary

Our House is seeking an experienced educator to lead an infant-Pre-K early childhood development program in Little Rock, AR. The role ensures compliance with Arkansas licensing standards and supports the Arkansas Better Chance program.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience work and/or teaching in early childhood.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work with diverse staff, parents, and community members.
• Experience with conflict resolution and/or crisis management.
• Experience with trauma-informed care.
• Action-oriented and innovative curriculum planning.
• Passion, integrity, and mission-driven self-direction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily and weekly lesson plans using the Experience curriculum.
• Collaborate to integrate literacy and mathematics curriculums.
• Integrate Conscious Discipline and social-emotional programs like Feeling Buddies.
• Use AR CDELs, ASQ, WSS, and other assessments to support children.
• Document progress with checklists and developmental milestones.
• Provide developmentally appropriate programming and collaborate with specialists.
• Maintain learning centers and enriching environments.
• Track literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth quarterly.
• Ensure licensing and program standards are met and drive quality improvements.
• Supervise children, maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility.
• Discuss development with parents via meetings, calls, texts, or emails.
• Coordinate with Behavior Support Specialist to integrate National Service Members.
• Facilitate classroom collaboration across age groups and programs.
• Develop a Kindergarten Transition Plan for Pre-K 4 students.
