Job summary

Connect Academy for Children in Benton, Arkansas is seeking a Part-Time Lead Teacher for Infant, Toddler, or Preschool classrooms. The role involves creating age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering a nurturing classroom, and maintaining open communication with families through Brightwheel.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (CDA or Early Childhood Education degree preferred) and at least 1 year of licensed childcare experience, with DHS background checks completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a licensed childcare setting
• Must meet all DHS requirements, including background checks and trainings
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a team-first mindset
• Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of young children

Responsibilities

• Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with our hybrid nature-based curriculum
• Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain daily communication with parents using Brightwheel
• Promote positive behavior and model respect, kindness, and empathy
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Observe and document developmental progress and milestones
• Collaborate with other teachers and leadership to maintain a cohesive learning environment
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with DHS and Better Beginnings standards
