Job summary

Westwood Children’s School is seeking an Early Childhood Program Director to lead a licensed, accredited program and oversee day-to-day operations. The role begins in summer 2026 and focuses on creating a warm, welcoming culture while ensuring high standards of care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), is EEC Director certified, and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and independence. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Westwood Children’s School is seeking an Early Childhood Program Director

Company Overview

The Westwood Children’s School was founded in 1987, providing 52 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with a nurturing, caring and supportive environment. We are open year-round, Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 5:45pm and all children attend 5 days/week. We are licensed by the state of Massachusetts and are proudly accredited by NAEYC.

Position

Our current director is relocating, and we will be looking for a new Program Director to begin in the summer of 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Masters in Education preferred)
• Director 1 EEC Certified
• Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
• Familiar with or ability to learn Constant Contact
• At least three years experience a Director at a licensed and accredited program
• Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented
• Exceptional work ethic
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming and positive culture
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with others, collaborate and remain calm under pressure
• Team-oriented player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Flexibility and willingness to assist teachers when needed
• Comfortable receiving direction and providing others with direction
• Warm, engaging personality with a focus on quality care for children
