Job summary

STREAM School in New York, NY is seeking an innovative Early Childhood Coordinator for the ECE Program (Toddlers, 3-K for All, 4-K for All / Pre-K classrooms). The ideal candidate will have NYS ECE certification, a BA or MA in ECE, and at least 1 year of classroom experience, with a constructivist approach to learning and strong collaborative skills.

Salary is set by the NYCDOE schedule at $68,000–$72,000 per contract year, with ample opportunities for professional development through the school

Qualifications

The STREAM School, a well-established progressive Early Childhood and Elementary School, seeks an innovative, creative, and knowledgeable Early Childhood Coordinator for ECE Program (Toddlers, 3-K for All, 4-K for All / Pre-Kindergarten classrooms). The ideal candidats will have experience teaching in early childhood settings, knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach or a commitment to learning. S/he will be a positive school community member and will enjoy working collaboratively with a team and building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Supportive work environment with excellent opportunities for professional development throughout the year provided by both the school and NYC Department of Education. Salary is based on NYCDOE Salary Schedule ranging from $68,000 - $72,000per contract year.

Requirements:

• NYS ECE Certification (Emergency Covid-19 Certification will be accepted, but the teacher must already have the certificate before Sept. 1, 2021. Pending COVID certificates will not be accepted. NYCDOE expects the teacher to complete his/her certification within 2 years of hire date.)
• B.A. or M.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education
