Qualifications

• Education required: High School diploma, CDA or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Certification required: Pre-School CDA within 2 years of employment.
• Education required: Job-related experience is desired.
• Other Qualifications: Oral and written communication skills, computer literacy regarding management information systems, strong organizational skills, tact and diplomacy, leadership on Early Childhood and grant funded program issues.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under the instructor for supporting learning objectives.
• Administer classroom assignments and assessments to support instructors.
• Assist with delivery of instructional programs and lesson plans under supervision.
• Support daily classroom routines including meals, toileting, rest, and transitions for a nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with data collection and documentation to support student checkpoints.
• Model positive behavior to support social emotional development and guidance strategies.
• Provide first aid and health-related assistance as directed.
• Assist students individually, in small groups, and in whole group settings to reinforce concepts.
• Communicate with staff and families to support student progress and goals.
• Maintain classroom equipment, files, and records for safety and organization.
