Job summary

Parents and Children Together seeks a Parent Educator in Honolulu, Hawaii. The position provides evidenced-based visiting support to prenatal mothers and families with young children, coordinating with a team to promote maternal and child health and development.

Responsibilities include conducting home visiting, developing Family Goal Plans, administering developmental screens, and linking families to community resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children and families is required; examples include pre-school/day care, parent educator, or child skills trainer.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidenced-based home visiting services to families with children aged 0–5, following funder/state guidelines and agency procedures.
• Develop a meaningful Family Goal Plan (FGP) with families to address health and safety needs.
• Administer developmental screens (ASQ/ASQ-SE), hearing/vision checks, and caregiver assessments per program requirements.
• Enter and maintain all family documentation accurately in program databases and funder systems.
• Link families to community resources and coordinate follow-up support services as needed.
• Conduct outreach activities to engage hard-to-reach families in a respectful manner.
• Maintain effective relationships with referral sources, partners, and state agencies.
