Job summary

Twin Rivers Unified School District in the Sacramento area is seeking a part-time preschool aide to assist Early Childhood teachers with education, care, supervision and instruction of pre-school children in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten students.

You will help maintain and prepare classroom environments and materials and assist in developing play-based curriculum.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 6 college units of Early Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment.
• One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement may be required.
• May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more Early Childhood teachers in education, care, supervision and instruction of preschool children in classrooms, common areas and playgrounds.
• Maintain and prepare classroom environments, materials and related forms.
• Assist in developing play-oriented curriculum.
