Job description

Job Description
The Opportunity

If you are a clinician or educator who believes that a child's social-emotional development is an important foundation for their entire life, and you have strong organizational, management and supervisory skills and experience - you belong here.

At Collaborative Educational Services (CES), we work in a variety of community and educational spaces where human connection comes first. In this role, you will move beyond traditional clinical boundaries to empower the adults who shape early childhood environments. You will lead a dedicated team of Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) clinicians, design meaningful professional development, and consult directly with educators and families to create trauma-informed, strengths-based experiences where young children can thrive.

What You Will Do
  • Guide and Inspire a Clinical Team: Provide weekly, reflective clinical supervision to our ECMH clinicians, managing caseloads and foster a supportive, collaborative team culture.
  • Empower Early Educators: Design and deliver high-quality workshops, coaching, and mentorship for early educators who work in EEC-licensed programs, public school preschools and family childcare providers, helping them understand and support the behavioral and emotional needs of young children.
  • Provide Direct, Meaningful Consultation: Maintain a small caseload of your own-conducting observations, partnering with families, and crafting tailored "Success Plans" for children.
  • Bridge the Gap for Vulnerable Families: Actively reach out to early education programs, community partners and isolated or at-risk families to promote access to ECMH services.
  • Champion Belonging and Inclusion: Advocate for accessible, high-quality services for children and families in every facet of program implementation and community engagement.
Qualifications
Who You Are

You are deeply committed to mission-driven work. You understand that supporting a child means supporting the ecosystem around them-their teachers, their parents, and their community.

  • Educational Background: You hold a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field, along with a current Massachusetts license applicable to your academic degree.
  • Early Childhood Expertise: You have at least 5 years of experience working directly with young children in group settings (preschools, childcare centers, etc.) and a deep understanding of child development and early social-emotional development.
  • Leadership & Coaching Mindset: You have experience providing reflective clinical supervision and feel confident facilitating adult learning, coaching, and professional development.
  • A Strengths-Based Approach: You look at challenges through the lens of potential and resilience, both when working with children and when supporting adults, including your team.
