Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our Waterloo, NY site for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will collaborate with the School-Age Childcare Lead to implement hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, while communicating with families and supporting daily care, health, and safety in the classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and families via the Playground App to ensure transparency and engagement.
• Cultivate positive adult–child interactions using the CLASS method.
• Support classroom health, welfare, and safety following ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.
