Hello! My name is Bethanne, and I’m the Area Manager for Thrive Preschool, a play-based learning preschool located in the greater Denver, Colorado area. The About Us Part

Thrive is a nurturing and supportive community of early childhood professionals passionate about the importance of play and discovery. We currently have four locations and aim to build a team of educators who can grow with us and expand into new roles, experiencing both professional and personal growth.

Our locations are:

  • 3165 S Washington St, Englewood, CO
  • 5472 S Federal Cir, Littleton, CO
  • 3060 S Dahlia St, Denver, CO
  • 17602 W 14th Ave, Golden, CO

The Compensation and Hours

Our full-time lead teacher positions (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day) are salaried, ranging from $45,050 to $49,555 annually, plus benefits.

The Benefits

  • 6 weeks of paid holidays and breaks, with additional non-student contact days (school calendar)
  • 80 hours of paid time off annually, in addition to holidays and breaks

The Ideal Candidate

If you are dedicated to children’s futures, have experience as a lead teacher, and believe in play-based learning, you might be a great fit. Basic qualifications include:

  • A positive attitude and passion for working with young children, families, and co-teachers
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Reflective and intentional professional practices
  • Meeting Colorado’s minimum qualifications for an Early Childhood Lead Teacher, including training, experience, and background check requirements
  • Experience as a lead teacher in a large childcare setting in Colorado
  • Availability for occasional weekends and evenings for events (rarely required)

The Responsibilities

As a lead teacher, you will collaborate with the program director and staff to:

  • Develop and implement inquiry-based curriculum aligned with our philosophy
  • Create a nurturing environment supporting all aspects of child development
  • Plan and adapt activities for children with special needs, utilizing specialist support when needed
  • Establish classroom rules and safety procedures
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and screenings

To families, your role involves:

  • Building strong partnerships through communication and family involvement

To the school and staff, your role includes:

  • Contributing to school policies and activities
  • Training and supervising assistant teachers
  • Planning for supplies and equipment needs
  • Attending training and staff meetings
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
