Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers. You will follow menus, ensure safe food storage, and support daily center operations while collaborating with staff to meet goals around enrollment and engagement.

Ideal candidates have a love for children, understanding of food allergies, basic math for portions, and a Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Familiarity with safe food storage and cross-contamination avoidance.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantities.
• Basic math skills for measuring portions.
• Must possess a Food Handler's License or be willing to obtain one.
• At least 1 year of institutional cooking experience; 2+ years working with children desirable.

Responsibilities

• When you join our team as a Cook, you will maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• We order food and supplies to ensure smooth center operations.
• You dispense and store medication as requested and complete documentation.
• You contribute to daily center duties and support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
• You collaborate with staff and leadership to support center success.
