Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston, TX, seeks a Child Development Specialist to provide Early Childhood Intervention services for birth to 3 years and their families.

You will conduct referrals, assessments, develop IFSPs, coordinate services, and train staff while ensuring confidentiality and trauma-informed care. This is a full-time position with a strong team environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to collaborate effectively.
• Experience working with children birth to three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts telephone interviews to process referrals and schedule initial evaluations.
• Develops initial IFSPs with family and team members.
• Schedules and reviews IFSPs every 6 months and annually.
• Provides Service Coordination to address child and family needs.
• Maintains documentation accurately and confidentially.
• Participates in required ECI trainings and audits.
