Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional II for Early Childhood in the Elementary Learning department. You will assist in instructional activities, support student behavior, and help with small-group instruction across various subjects.

Requires at least 60 college credits and a substitute teaching certificate. Applicants should be prepared to support diverse learners and maintain records. This is a non-exempt, on-site role within the district.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of job related experience is preferred.
• Must obtain current Substitute Teaching Certificate (visit dese.mo.gov).
• Criminal Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in presenting instructional materials for learning concepts.
• Support students’ learning, self-care, and social development.
• Attend meetings and communicate progress to teachers.
• Document observations of student performance for records.
• Escort students to ensure welfare and safety.
• Maintain instructional files and records as required.
• Monitor student performance and provide feedback.
