Job summary

The Kingdom East School District in Lyndon Center, Vermont is seeking two Early Childhood Intensive Instructional Assistants to support preschool through 2nd grade students aged 3 to 8 with disabilities. The IIA helps to develop and implement behavior and instructional support programs in collaboration with the early childhood special educator and preschool teacher/director.

Currently assigned to Lyndon Town School, the role may flex to other Kingdom East preschools based on student needs, with

Qualifications

• Preschool licensure requirements.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs with consultation with the early childhood special educator and preschool teacher/director.
• Provide observable student data that meet IEP/EST goals for students with developmental delay or other special needs.
• Position will support students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner.

Education
