Job summary

The Kingdom East School District, Lyndon Center, Vermont, seeks an Intensive Instructional Assistant to support early childhood classrooms and students with special needs. The IIA helps implement behavior and instructional programs in collaboration with the special educator and classroom teacher.

Immediate start. Successful candidates will have either a ParaPro certification or an associate degree or higher, and must pass a background check including fingerprinting.

• Background check including fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Support development and interpretation of individual needs in early childhood classrooms or for students with special needs.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior and instructional support programs with collaboration from the grade-level special educator and classroom teacher.
• Provide observable data to meet IEP goals for students with developmental delay and/or other special needs.

Education

High School/Trade School degree preferred.
