Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant

This position offers a range of pay based on skills and experience, with a base hourly rate of $19.69 to $22.10. We have both full-time and part-time positions available in Atchison.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We seek an Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant to provide attendant care services to clients in our Early Childhood program. Our holistic approach includes counseling, case management, psychosocial, and medication services at a single site, emphasizing comprehensive care for vulnerable populations.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly rate of $19.69 to $22.10 based on experience

Primary Duties

• Provide attendant care to promote daily activity completion and positive group interactions
• Support clients in problem-solving and social interactions
• Collaborate respectfully with clients’ families and caregivers
• Assist in co-facilitating groups and developing curriculum
• Encourage engagement in pro-social activities

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required; one year of college coursework in human services or equivalent experience preferred

Experience: At least 6 months working with community individuals; experience with mental health is preferred
