Job summary

Grandmama's House is seeking a dedicated Child Care Provider to deliver nurturing, educational experiences for young children in Clarksville, TN. You will develop engaging lessons, lead activities, and maintain a safe, healthy classroom, tailoring approaches to each child's development.

You will communicate regularly with parents, supervise aides, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while pursuing ongoing professional growth and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents).
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Must clear full background check and health screening.
• Ability to take frequent walks, use hands/fingers, kneel/bend/squat/crawl.
• Specific vision abilities (close and distance, color, peripheral, depth).
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - hygiene, cleanliness, safety and security of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Maintain personal professional development plan for continuous quality improvement.
