Job summary

The Salvation Army Lakeland Corps in Lakeland, FL is hiring a full-time Child Care Specialist. You will implement age-appropriate lessons, provide personal care, and maintain a safe, clean classroom environment while following established plans.

Responsibilities include transporting children using a Salvation Army vehicle, supporting learning activities, and partnering with staff to ensure well-being and development of each child.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school.
• Valid state CDL with passenger endorsement; CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant care for the needs of children in a safe, clean, and supportive manner.
• Assists in the classroom by following and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Provides transportation for children to and from school or activities using Salvation Army vehicles.
