Job summary

Learning Grove is seeking a teacher to actively participate in planning and implementing the curriculum, working with parents, and assessing each child's needs under the Lead Teacher's guidance. The role emphasizes safety, relationships, and inclusive practices in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include supporting lesson planning, maintaining a clean, safe classroom, and ensuring compliance with training hours and licensing requirements while serving children from infants to school age.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak, and write English.
• CDA or in the process of receiving a degree.
• Manage classroom with positive redirection and active listening.
• Support lead teacher in lesson plan development and execution.
• Prior experience with young children.
• State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers or equivalent.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Background checks and TB testing compliance.
• No limitations affecting care of children from infants to school age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment for children.
• Maintain positive relationships with children, families and co-workers.
• Model acceptance of diversity, nurturing behavior, cooperation, and respect.
• Ensure required training hours and credentials are up to date.
