Job summary

West Georgia Technical College seeks an Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor to prepare lesson plans, teach in classroom and lab settings, and assess student progress according to program standards. Under general supervision, you will develop syllabi using templates and help students prepare for credited technical courses in a hands‑on environment.

This full‑time position requires knowledge of industry trends, dedication to student success, and willingness to participate in committees

Qualifications

Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies.
Ability to prepare lesson plans and evaluate student progress.
Experience with classroom and lab instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides instruction in theory and practical applications aligned with industry standards.
Instructs courses in classroom and lab environments simulating industry settings.
Utilizes current technology in the classroom and lab environment.
Evaluates students’ progress and grades coursework promptly.
Maintains office hours and provides student advising.
Keeps documentation and administrative reports up to date.
Stays informed about current trends and developments in the discipline.
