Job summary

South Shore Stars, Inc. is seeking an Education Coordinator to manage educational referrals, support developmentally appropriate practices, and coordinate staff training across all Early Childhood Center locations.

The role assists teachers and administration, monitors student progress, conducts observations, and partners with the family support team to coordinate services and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA in Early Education or related field required
• Five years' experience teaching young children with and without disabilities
• Three years' experience supervising staff
• Training experience
• DESE SPED Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify supports needed for children at enrollment with Enrollment Department.
• Facilitate referrals and coordinate individual support services.
• Assess staff training needs and help create an Annual Training Calendar.
• Provide resources on developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum implementation.
• Coordinate with family support and health staff on professional development needs.
• Plan and facilitate Center Director and Lead Teacher meetings.
• Coordinate curriculum implementation and workshops.
• Oversee screening and assessment tools (ASQ, COR Advantage, etc.).
• Support accreditation processes (NAEYC, CQI).
• Conduct observations and develop action plans.
• Coordinate parent/guardian educational training.
• Assist grant applications and grant implementation.
• Perform additional duties aligned with Stars' mission.
