The Goddard School in Fishers, IN is seeking a dynamic Director to oversee daily operations, uphold licensing standards, and nurture a high-quality learning environment for children, staff, and families.

You will lead staff development, implement the Wonder of Learning curriculum, recruit and coach teachers, manage budgets and enrollment, and build strong school-family-community relationships while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (REQUIRED).
• 3+ years of early childhood teaching experience with 1+ year in a leadership role (Highly Preferred).
• Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school operations and ensure licensing and brand compliance.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise faculty and staff; conduct evaluations.
• Lead curriculum delivery of Wonder of Learning and collaboration on lesson plans.
• Foster strong relationships with families and the community.
• Manage budgets, tuition, enrollment, and financial reporting; ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and conduct regular safety drills.

As Director, you’ll uphold brand and licensing standards, lead a dedicated team, lead staff development, implement our Wonder of Learning® proprietary curriculum and build strong school-family-community relationships.

Leadership & Administration

• Oversee the daily operations of the school
• Ensure compliance with state licensing and Goddard brand standards
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that uphold our mission

Staff Management

• Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise faculty and staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development
• Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture

Curriculum & Program Oversight

• Deliver our proprietary Wonder of Learning® program
• Collaborate with teachers to create engaging, individualized lesson plans
• Ensure all children’s developmental needs are met

Family & Community Engagement

• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with families
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress

Financial & Operational Management

• Manage budgets, tuition, and financial reporting
• Oversee enrollment and resource allocation
• Maintain accurate records and ensure operational efficiency

Health & Safety

• Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment
• Conduct regular safety drills and uphold emergency procedures
• Maintain facility standards in line with licensing and brand guidelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (REQUIRED)
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education and 1+ year in a leadership role (Highly Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of child development, early learning best practices and team leadership
• Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
• A genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with families and create a positive school experience
• Strong sales and enrollment mindset with the ability to conduct tours, convert leads, and support school growth objectives
• Proven ability to build and lead a successful team
• Schedule: 9:00am - 6:00pm
