Job summary

Kids for the Future in Marvin, NC is seeking Assistant Teachers, Floaters, and Substitute Staff to support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities, ensuring children’s safety and development in a caring, compliant environment.

Candidates need NC Early Childhood credentials (or higher), CPR/First Aid, and DCDEE guidelines familiarity; at least 1 year in early childhood education preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring teamwork and adaptability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials (with at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education) or Bachelor’s degree in Education or Psychology.
• AA/AAS in Early Childhood Development or Child Development.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience in early childhood education (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• DHHS Criminal Background Check.
• SIDS certification

Responsibilities

• Educational Support: Assist Lead Teacher in planning and executing activities aligned with guidelines.
• Classroom Management and Supervision: Assist in organizing daily activities and maintaining attendance records.
• Collaboration in Meetings and Events: Participate in planning meetings and school events.
• Classroom Health and Safety: Ensure safety, hygiene, and age-appropriate materials.
• Child Interaction and Support: Promote positive interactions and support each child’s needs.
