University of Nebraska Kearney (UNK) seeks a teacher assistant to support the lead teacher and assist with child care and activity facilitation on campus. You will help maintain orderly classrooms, complete required forms, and ensure licensing requirements are met.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and be 18+. Responsibilities include interacting with staff and parents, and completing background checks per Nebraska regulations.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED and 18 years of age.
• General knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Ability to address care issues quickly and properly.
• Interact with lead teacher, center director, other staff, and parents.
• Must pass background checks including central registry, adult protective services, and state patrol registry.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the general care of the children.
• Help facilitate activities in the classroom.
• Keep classrooms clean and orderly.
• Complete forms as requested by the lead teacher and/or director.
• Comply with DHHS licensing requirements for teacher assistant.
