Job summary

Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency is hiring a childcare aide to support early childhood education and family engagement. You will assist in implementing the HighScope Curriculum, help maintain a safe learning environment, and support data entry for child observations.

The role requires a High School Diploma, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work Monday through Friday in a school setting. Travel and driving are occasionally required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to communicate and interact with children in a caring, responsive manner.
• Ability to work as part of a team and with supervisors and staff.
• Experience with basic child development concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans using the HighScope Curriculum under supervision.
• Maintain safe and healthy environment for children and families.
• Record anecdotal observations and enter data into COR system.
• Maintain attendance, meal counts, and daily logs; assist with developmental screenings.
• Support licensed program operations and attend team meetings and training.
