The Community Action Organization of Western New York Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Teacher Aide to support preschoolers at the Erie County Head Start site. You will assist the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, engaging learning environment and help with meals and behavior guidance.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, one year of preschool experience, and enrollment in a CDA credential program within two years of hire. Proficiency with MS Office is expected.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience working with pre-school age children or educational background in Education/Early Childhood.
• Must enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and monitor children at all times.
• Ensure the safety of the children and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
• Assist children with academic and play activities and gauge support needs for the least restrictive environment.
• Help prepare classroom setup including equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom and manage room equipment.
• Help children build relationships with peers and assist with personal care as needed.
• Greet children and parents, escort to and from buses, and assist with meals as needed.
• Work under the direction of the Lead Teacher and carry out the educational program.
• Participate in mandated trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
