Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with groups of young children.
• Certified training in child abuse recognition and prevention, communicable disease recognition and management, first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Attend and fully participate in all classroom functions and activities, including indoor/outdoor exploration, field trips, and other school-wide events (such as open houses).
• Assist teachers with classroom curricular activities.
• Promote good social relationships between children.
• Ensure the safety of students.
• Be familiar with ODE and NAEYC standards, as well as the Burbank curriculum.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all information at all times, e.g., student records.
• Interact positively with staff, students, and parents.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and required in-services.
