Job summary

The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches in Boynton Beach is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for its Early Childhood Learning Center. The role involves collaborating with an Assistant Teacher to plan and implement curriculum, and to assess individual child needs while engaging with families.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of group education experience, a relevant degree, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Three years of group education experience with children.
• Florida DCF 45-hour training or educational exemption.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of Palm Beach County health regulations for child care.
• Judaic knowledge or willingness to acquire through study.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, child-centered learning environment.
• Attend to children’s physical and emotional needs.
• Partner with parents via newsletters, daily reports, conferences.
• Edit lesson plans to meet children’s interests and needs.
• Record behavior and maintain attendance and files.
• Maintain classroom supplies and notify office when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
