The University of Michigan's Children's Centers are seeking a Program Director to lead daily operations and provide programmatic guidance to teaching staff. You will oversee scheduling, licensing compliance, staff coaching, and family communications to uphold high-quality childcare and education standards.

Reporting to the Center Director, you will drive strategic execution, staff development, and operational planning, including budgeting and enrollment planning, while representing the center

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
• Minimum of three years progressively responsible early childhood experience across infant, toddler and preschool age groups.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teachers.
• Knowledge of licensing procedures, state of Michigan preferred.
• Familiarity with state and national standards for early childhood education quality; Michigan QRIS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate classroom schedules and staffing to meet licensing and quality standards.
• Manage daily timekeeping and leave requests with staff and leadership.
• Develop staff through coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, and goal setting.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train regular, temporary, and student employees.
• Promote positive labor relations by applying bargaining agreements and procedures.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure a safe, clean environment for children and staff.
